Hi, I still cannot get my head around the fact that 3 of my students are learning how to glide!!  Tai Hyland has already been up and is loving it.  I am so glad I opened that email!!!

You have made one very jaded and exhausted teacher so happy! I cannot believe you chose 3 of our pupils. I have just spoken to excited parents, children and SLT staff about it. What an exceptional opportunity. I am getting our local press involved.

The interaction with ‘physical’ things such as sitting in the gliders/being shown maintenance work in progress/the sim all looked good and had great interaction from the visitors. It was good to see some real enthusiasm from some of them. 

By the way, I’d love to do it again…..

The Webinar was excellent. 

The 15 students that came along had a wonderful experience and some are definitely considering taking up Gliding or pursuing careers in aviation. 

The students will talk about this trip plus it will be featured in our newsletter.

A great session. Genuinely inspired!

The best bit was… 

• hearing about the opportunities you can get with gliding
• Hearing the different things that you can do gliding
• how enthusiastic the speakers where about their own journeys
• Seeing that gliders can go sooo high!! 76,000′ is higher than I ever imagined!

The least good bit was…

• not winning a prize 😉 Seriously, nothing, it was great.
• None – it was all interesting

It was nice to know that you don’t need to spend lots of money or find many resources to access something like gliding.

GoGliding in Cambridge has provided me with a wonderful insight of a route into aviation that I had not really considered before. It sparked an interest in me about gliding further than my current organisation, the RAF air cadets. I now not just see it as a way into aviation but as a valuable and exciting hobby I would like to participate further in the future.

I’m now inspired to seek further info from local gliding club and hopefully begin gliding
